Lots of people tend to ask me which companies do I think are the best work at home companies, or what is it that they should look for in a company when they are looking to work from home.  Often times, I’m stumped, because during that time frame, I haven’t found any companies that I feel are up to par.  Or sometimes I have so many that I can’t begin to pick one for them when they ask.

So I thought what would I look for when I’m looking at various work at home companies?  What would be the main selling point for me?  And I began to do a list of the things that I wanted to find when I was looking for the best work at home company.  Go here and see our best work at home companies for 2009. 

Ok for starters I want a company that is reputable.   There are a lot of people who are only out for themselves and so they look to prey upon innocent, unsuspecting individuals who are looking to find honest work from home.  These individuals run scams that take good people’s hard working money and leave them with nothing.  So you need to make sure that any company you look into has been around for at least five years.  This means that they have proven themselves.

Next you want to make sure that any work at home companies you look into are profitable.  It’s one thing to barely be in business for years, then to be in business making a profit for years.  This will ensure you that the company is financial stable and that most importantly they can pay you when it’s time to get paid.

Another thing to look for is the reality of the flexibility of the company.  There are lots of companies around that tell you, you can work from home, but then they require you to come in about 45% of the time that you are working for them.  This isn’t really what most people are looking for when they think of work at home companies.  But if you are in the market for the ability to work from home as well as work in an office then this would be ideal for you.  If you are one of those people who want to work 100% away from an office, then this wouldn’t work.  So make sure you are clear on that company’s definition of working from home.

And finally the last thing to be mindful of when you are looking at work at home companies is that they offer a reasonable amount of pay for the work you are doing.  Sometimes, workers from home don’t always get paid the same.  So you want to make sure that the company is paying you your fair wage based on a day’s hard earned labor.  Best regards as you find the company that is right for you.  See our best work at home companies.

I spent a some time lately taking a look around checking out the various work at home sites and what they have to offer. So I thought I would do a quick work at home review for you and see if I couldn’t offer you some assistance in finding the right job for you.

OK so I found a lot of sites that offer you the ability to work at home doing data entry or filling out forms or completing rebates. They generally have the same guarantee behind it. If you do their jobs you can make anywhere from $500 to thousands of dollars a day. You already know that this is a scam for sure. There is no real data entry work at home job that is going to offer you that kind of money.

So when I started my work at home review, I thought I would start there with data entry. Now the thing with the data entry is that there hasn’t been very many actual jobs found that are legitimate. The majority of these data entry positions are scams. Nothing is real about them. And then there is completing the rebate forms. Now let me tell you in no uncertain terms, that there are only a couple that are not scams.

When you get involved with these companies, they may request that you pay a small sign up fee, and they state that if you are unhappy with the results they will be more than happy to refund you your money. Guess what, that’s another untruth. If you try to contact the companies after you’ve paid your fee and attempted to sign up, you will be rewarded with a lot of nothing. If you are able to get in contact with someone from the company, you will be doing a lot better than most individuals.

I’ve shared with you the jobs that aren’t legitimate in my work at home review. There are at least two jobs that I know of that you can do working from home. You will need to be trained to do both, one more than the other. They are working as a Medical Transcriptionist and Multi level marketing. Both of these items can bring in a decent income for you and once you are properly trained, they can both be done from home. There has been a lot of supposition regarding what the best work at home computer jobs are. Some people say that there aren’t any good work at home jobs that you can do on the computer and that they are all bologna. Others will sit down and debate you left and right that they have the perfect work at home job.

I’ve heard quite a few people say that online surveys are the best work at home computer jobs out there. But when I went and did it for about six months, I came away with no more than $20. Perhaps I signed up with the wrong survey sites, but I don’t think so. They all offered me the chance to make at least a couple hundred dollars a month doing these surveys. That didn’t happen, but maybe it’s just me.

Then there was the rebate form sign up thingy. Now that one almost caught me, until I went on line to see if I could find a more competitive company and came across a website specifically dedicated to this job. They were pretty persuasive in getting me not to sign up with them. The first paragraph stated how all of these sites are scams to get your money. Because sure enough, when I went back to the site they offered me the opportunity to "sign up" on to get rebate processing information, they asked me for a small fee to "download" the software. After reading the many horror stories from various unhappy people I decided against it.

I think probably the one set of work at home computer jobs that I can’t find a negative thing on would be transcriptionist and coders. These particular work at home jobs, seem to be where to go if you have any training in medical transcription or coding. These are good paying work at home computer jobs. Really good paying, however the one difference with these jobs vs. all the other ones I’ve listed is that you must be certified. With the other jobs they really didn’t require any training at all. You simply need to have the desire to do something different and you were up and running. Not so with medical transcriptionist and coders. Because you are dealing with medical terminology, you have to be certified in knowing these things.

When it comes to the various work at home computer jobs out there, be smart about the one you choose to do at home. By make sure that you aren’t going to lose money when you should be making money, you can watch your income grow.
