Lots of people tend to ask me which companies do I think are the best work at home companies, or what is it that they should look for in a company when they are looking to work from home.  Often times, I’m stumped, because during that time frame, I haven’t found any companies that I feel are up to par.  Or sometimes I have so many that I can’t begin to pick one for them when they ask.

Ok for starters I want a company that is reputable.   There are a lot of people who are only out for themselves and so they look to prey upon innocent, unsuspecting individuals who are looking to find honest work from home.  These individuals run scams that take good people’s hard working money and leave them with nothing.  So you need to make sure that any company you look into has been around for at least five years.  This means that they have proven themselves.

Next you want to make sure that any work at home companies you look into are profitable.  It’s one thing to barely be in business for years, then to be in business making a profit for years.  This will ensure you that the company is financial stable and that most importantly they can pay you when it’s time to get paid.

Another thing to look for is the reality of the flexibility of the company.  There are lots of companies around that tell you, you can work from home, but then they require you to come in about 45% of the time that you are working for them.  This isn’t really what most people are looking for when they think of work at home companies.  But if you are in the market for the ability to work from home as well as work in an office then this would be ideal for you.  If you are one of those people who want to work 100% away from an office, then this wouldn’t work.  So make sure you are clear on that company’s definition of working from home.

Have you been sorting through the various work at home companies on the internet lately? Were you happy with what you found? Did you even find anything? I thought I would look around and see what was out there. I made the decision to check things out for a friend of mine who was down on their luck.

Times being what they are and the economy being what is has been currently, companies simply aren’t hiring as there is not a lot of demand for employees. They offered all kinds of jobs that could be done from home. Some where data entry, some writing and even coding, they offered the opportunity to become a virtual assistant as well as many other options. I found several companies that offer to allow you to work with no experience at all.

They also offer training which I thought that as an option was outstanding, seeing that most work at home companies would simply throw you into the deep end and you would have to either sink or swim. But being able to get some training from the actual company that you are going to be working for? Having people who worked with the company and who happen to be good at what they do, offering you advice and training is for sure priceless.

As work at home companies go, you have to sift through the ones that are fakes and scams to find the ones that are real. Those are like diamonds in the rough, finding them isn’t easy. But when you do find a legitimate work at home company that offers a decent income, you should take it. Make sure you have checked them out. Do the research and find the pros and the cons on them and then make an informed decision before you commit your time and energy to any company or home based business opportunity.
